The MG1 Unlock takes approximately 2-5 business days to complete AFTER we receive your ECU. Expect to be without your ECU for approximately one week including transit time.

The Can-Am X3 Turbo RR is such an amazing machine, it deserved an enhanced EVP dyno testing and field-testing regimen in order to bring you only THE best tunes available, anywhere! Field-testing the beta stock injector and stock turbo tunes was started in St Anthony, ID. Conditions could not have been worse for a SXS. 93° F and 5500' elevation created a density altitude of 9300'. Once we proved the tunes there, we drove straight to Glamis, CA for some of the worst torture-testing we’ve ever done on any vehicle. First, we filled up our X3 with poor California 91 Octane fuel and with ambient temperatures at 110° F. We ran each tune on both Oldsmobile and at the sand drags over and over again. And we’re confident our tuning is the most thoroughly tested in the industry.

Now, with our exclusive EVP ECU Unlock Service, 2021-'23 X3 Turbo RR tuning is available WITH NO WAIT!

As most know, the 2021-'23 X3 Turbo RR ECU’s have the latest generation encryption/anti-tuning security. Bosch has incorporated a 2048 RSA encryption key, which is not able to be cracked at this time. Rather than trying to resolve the encryption key directly, the engineers at Evolution Powersports attacked the security module that is responsible for verifying the RSA key. It took nearly a year, but through our hard work and dedication we developed a solution that allows us to unlock the MG1C ECU's.

Additionally, once the MG1 Unlock service is performed by EVP, future tuning changes/updates can be done using either an EVP CodeShooter or Maptuner device – meaning once the ECU is unlocked, it does not have to be sent back in for future tuning changes.

2021-'23 TURBO RR BIG INJECTOR TUNING:

  • Stage 4 X100 comes equipped with 3 EVP/Bosch 1000cc Flow-Matched Injectors, EVP’s Proprietary Injector Adapter Plug (no wires to chafe or electrical resistance issues that can plague adapters pigtails) and our EVP’s unmatched ECU Power Flash. (OPTIONAL: EVP CodeShooter Device + Cable)
  • Stage 5 X85 is equipped with the same injectors and adapters as the Stage 4 X100, but also includes a High Flow Fuel Pump Upgrade (direct replacement). The EVP High Flow Fuel Pump is necessary due to the high fuel volume that E85 fuel requires. E85 tunes require ~30% more fuel than a similar gasoline tune. (OPTIONAL: EVP CodeShooter Device + Cable)

The OEM fuel pump capacity is approximately 155 liters per hour which is right on the edge of being able to supply enough fuel volume to maintain the correct air fuel ratio. The OEM pump simply cannot keep up as evidenced by Injector duty which spikes well past 100% and the air-fuel mixture leaning out due to insufficient fuel supply. The EVP 265 liter-per-hour pump can be used with all stock turbo tunes, as it does not raise the base fuel pressure, so if you want to change between the Stage 4 X100 or even the stock injector tunes, there is no need to remove it once installed. It also has enough overhead for our Big Turbo Kits up to 350 horsepower. Additionally, the 2021-'23 Stage 5 X85 tunes are compatible with a wider variety of ethanol blends than previous year versions due to the 2021-'23 RR having wide-band lambda as part of the OEM sensor package. This allows the fuel to be trimmed or added in real time. Blends from E70 all the way to E90 are no problem with our Stage X85 upgrade.
